Where the Road Runs Out
Tired of the academic world, scientist George, living in Rotterdam, decides to change his life after the sudden death of an old friend. Returning to his African roots, he takes over a dilapidated research station in the jungles of Equatorial Guinea. In this exotic place, George meets a cheerful orphan boy whose optimism gradually breaks down the walls of distrust around the scientist’s heart.
The boy introduces George to Isabel, the woman who runs the local orphanage, and warm feelings begin to blossom between them. George's life seems to be finding new meaning, but the unexpected arrival of an old friend threatens not only his budding relationship but also his entire mission. George must confront the mistakes of his past and make difficult decisions on his road to redemption, even if that road ends where the road runs out.
