There is a Primal Flow workout for everyone. As Instructors, we use the Primal Flow Model to build appropriate workouts for the audience in front of us. At the recent Kaizen Project, passionate speaker Helen from ICareiMove showcased all they do for those looking to stay active into later life and managing chronic health conditions. It was emotional.
With this in mind, here is an example chair-based workout. Knowing your audience allows you to adapt the programming, changing the order of the exercises can change its dynamic and focus and working to time means an individual can move at their own pace (great with groups).
5 sets (Rest 60 – 90 seconds between sets)
👉 Knee Raise (30 seconds)
👉 Leg Extension (45 seconds)
👉 Floor Touch (60 seconds)
👉 Rotation (75 seconds)
👉 Chair Squat – sit to stand (90 seconds)
