Pairing Greenify With The NOVA Launcher
Greenify for those of you who do not know is one of the best Android applications for smartphones and tablets alike. In 2013 it was voted by many as the best application of the year also. With it you can close apps that are running in the background, which will improve performance and best of all, battery life.
With a rooted device it is even more resourceful as system apps can even be hibernated, but of course this comes with a BIG warning so know what you're doing before you go that route. Also with a rooted Android smartphone or tablet, Greenify will run in the background, whereas without root it runs on top and takes up the entire screen until it completes.
Now if you add the NOVA Launcher to top it off, the experience only gets better. With NOVA you can est a gesture or even better, set the app drawer button to perform an action if swiped, such as activate Greenify in the background(if rooted). Having run this setup for some time now I can honestly say I have added hours of battery life to my day and I use my smartphones and tablets for up to 16 hours in a day.
