Do OTG Cables Work With USB Microphones?

One question that I have been asked many times but have never gotten around to finding out as to whether or not it would work, hooking a USB microphone up through the OTG to a Android tablet or smartphone. Would it work?
In short no, the OTG cable can power the microphone, in this video I showcase the Blue Yeti Microphone. Although the light is red, it doesn't seem to have the ability to transfer audio in the sense of recording.
Still though, the OTG cable for as cheap as it is, is a must have for all travel tech bags and just tech enthusiasts as a whole.
