4,000 cars destroyed by fire on ship Felicity Ace
A fire on the freighter Felicity Ace in the Atlantic destroyed 4,000 vehicles worth a whopping half a billion dollars. A fire broke out on the ship on February 16 when Felicity Ace was off the Portuguese Azores. The fire on the ship started in one of the holds and began to spread rapidly on board. They tried to extinguish the fire on the ship, but to no avail, due to the fact that many cars are equipped with lithium-ion batteries, which are highly flammable. At the moment, the ship can be said to have burned out on its own.
