The market is holding it's breath this morning, hoping for a dovish Jerome Powell to show up at Jackson Hole this morning for the Fed chair's highly anticipated speech and clues about the pace of rate cuts that are expected to begin in September. Elsewhere there are multiple economic alarms going off in China this morning affecting the bond market, housing, and the steel industry.
