1,000 pistons firing every single second. When Bugatti's V16 engine reaches 7,500 RPM, something very special happens. 16 cylinders at 7500 RPM, with each cylinder firing once per two crank rotations equals 60,000 power strokes per minute. So while it’s hard to believe, that means every millisecond, or 1000 times per second, a piston is firing. In the blink of an eye, the Bugatti engine has had over 100 individual explosions occur inside of it. The engine is so big, and revs so high, that it can produce 1,000 horsepower without even using turbochargers. That's 8.3 liters of naturally aspirated fury revving past 9,000 RPM.
