How to Record Audio from Video Meetings using Audacity
Here's a super easy way to record audio from any video meetings you may find yourself in, in these work from home remote situations we currently find ourselves in.
Remember to, 'treat others as you would like to be treated yourself' so no covert or illegal recording. I have been recorded before without permission and it leaves a nasty sour taste - so if you don't want it done to you, don't do it without good reason.
Some examples where this method maybe useful:
-- you’re in a lesson where the teacher/lecturer promises to record and share, they do not
-- you have to step away for a few mins, you lose 3-4 mins, this way you get it back
-- you have to get record access in zoom, session starts and host forget to grant, use audacity instead of interrupt the host
-- google meet enterprise is only way to record treat others as you would like to be treated yourself
As i said i am a paying G Suite Basic customer and i still do not get the RECORD button in Google Meet videos meetings :(
