Morty Meets the Smiling Friends
A fan made animation of the Smiling Friends meeting Morty from Rick and Morty. Basically a mini Smiling Friends parody episode of a crossover with Rick and Morty! The connection is that both shows are from Adult Swim. The audio comes from a game called "High On Life", where Charlie's voice actor (Zach Hadel) does a bit with Morty's old voice actor (Justin Roiland). I thought I could make a funny Smiling Friends animation with Charlie and Morty voicing the lines from the game, as it suits both of their characters. I wanted to make the fan animation look like a proper Smiling Friends clip, so I couldn't leave Pim, Glep and Allan out either! Pim is of course voiced by Michael Cusack.
I've been a fan of Zach and Michael's animations on YouTube since around 2012, so it is such a great sight to see them both animate Smiling Friends together! This video was made just in time for Smiling Friends Season 2 Episode 8 too! I made this funny cartoon parody as a tribute to the creators of Smiling Friends for inspiring me, as well as making me laugh with their mix of crazy and relatable humour for so many years. I need to shout out OneyNG for being another amazing animator who has inspired me for many years (as he is involved in the making of Smiling Friends as well). I'm so excited to see more of what you all make. Here's hoping for a Smiling Friends Season 3! Or maybe even a Smiling Friends Movie!! Yaaaaayyy (as Pim would say).
