What Happened To Raven In Hilda? (Fan-made Deleted Scene)
In the Netflix show Hilda, the Raven (my favourite character) has silently disappeared entirely from Hilda Season 2 and the Hilda Movie: Hilda And The Mountain King... with no explanation.
So while watching the Hilda Movie, I saw a scene and came up with a funny idea to explain what happened to The Great Raven and why he is nowhere to be seen in the new Hilda movie or Hilda series after season 1. This led me to animate a bonus scene in the style of the show, as if it was a deleted scene from the movie, just for fun.
In this video, the first scene is straight from the movie, and the second scene was created by me using a mixture of puppet and traditional animation, as well as a parallaxing background and the character drawn with the crayon-styled brush that the show's art style consists of. I tried my best to replicate these aspects in order to create a scene that looks like it is actually from the Netflix show Hilda. And hey, if a bird can get eaten by a troll in the movie, then another bird can definitely get crushed by a rock. I hope you enjoy this fan animation!
Now that Hilda's final season (season 3)'s release date has been announced for December 7th and the main poster features many of the cool characters we've come to love over the years... and STILL misses the Raven out, I can imagine he won't be in season 3 of Hilda either. And if he is... AMAZING!
