In an emotional series that featured the return of Javier Baez to Wrigley Field, the Cubs took care of business with a 10-2 victory on Thursday to clinch the series win over the Detroit Tigers.
The Cubs bats exploded thanks to a grand slam and a five RBI day from Miguel Amaya. Pete Crow-Armstrong, Nico Hoerner, Dansby Swanson and Cody Bellinger drove in the rest of the runs.
On the mound, Justin Steele was magnificent. Steele pitched seven innings and punched out 10, allowing just two runs.
Then, Anthony Pasquale and Mick Gillespie break down the trade that sent Javier Baez and Trevor Williams to the Mets for Pete Crow-Armstrong, and declare the Cubs the winner of the deal.
