What is ProRes log video on the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max?
If you are into filmmaking you might have heard of log video and now Apple have added to their iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max. Why is this useful, well it allows us to now have more range when adjusting things like exposure and colour when editing. This is called grading. It gives more flexibility than the regular way of recording. Many professional and mirrorless cameras come with this and it can really help.
Here I show you how to set it up and also how to add this in Final Cut Pro for iPad, which had the same feature on Final Cut Pro for the desktop and iMovie. You can also do this in other editing programs such as Premiere Pro and DaVinci Resolve.
