Digital Twins for Hydropower
With support from the Department of Energy’s Water Power Technologies Office, Pacific Northwest National Laboratory and Oak Ridge National Laboratory and are executing a multi-year project to design, develop, prototype, and demonstrate a Digital Twin (DT) for hydropower systems platform. Launched in 2021, the project will also address the accessibility and cost of DT systems. Developing a more affordable, user-friendly, open platform DT system for hydropower will enable it to be broadly operated by a technical workforce across the hydropower industry.
