MikroTik Router RB2011UiAS-IN | Full configure to access internet and Hotspot
To configure the MikroTik Router RB2011UiAS with a hotspot, you can follow these steps:
Connect to the router: Use an Ethernet cable to connect your computer to one of the LAN ports on the MikroTik RB2011UiAS router.
Access the router's web interface: Open a web browser (e.g., Chrome, Firefox) on your computer and enter the IP address of the router in the address bar. The default IP address of the MikroTik RB2011UiAS is "192.168.88.1". Press Enter to access the login page.
Log in to the router: On the login page, enter the username and password to log in to the router's web interface. The default username is usually "admin", and the default password is blank (no password). If you've changed these credentials before, use the updated login information.
Configure the hotspot settings:
Click on "IP" in the left-hand menu, then select "Hotspot".
Click on the "Hotspot Setup" button.
In the "Hotspot Setup" window, configure the settings according to your requirements. Specify the hotspot interface, IP address range, DNS servers, and other parameters. You can also customize the login page appearance and enable user authentication options.
Set the "Address Pool" to define the range of IP addresses to be assigned to hotspot clients.
Configure other settings such as DHCP server, Walled Garden, etc., as needed.
Customize the hotspot login page: If desired, you can customize the appearance of the hotspot login page. Click on "IP" in the left-hand menu, then select "Hotspot" and "Hotspot Profiles". Choose the appropriate profile and customize the HTML code, logo, and text according to your preferences.
Save and apply settings: After configuring the hotspot settings and customizing the login page, save the changes and apply them. Look for a "Save" or "Apply" button in the router's interface. The hotspot configuration will be applied, and the hotspot will be active.
Test the hotspot: Disconnect your computer from the router's LAN port if necessary, and connect to the MikroTik hotspot network using a Wi-Fi-enabled device. Open a web browser and try accessing any website. You should be redirected to the hotspot login page. Enter the appropriate credentials or agree to the terms and conditions to access the internet.
By following these steps, you should be able to configure a hotspot on the MikroTik Router RB2011UiAS. Remember to consult the router's documentation or contact MikroTik support if you encounter any specific issues or if the interface differs slightly.
