Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy ‘might make the difference’ with government cost-cutting
Former Trump senior advisor Christian Whiton says the success of Donald Trump’s Department of Government Efficiency will be an “uphill battle”.
US President-elect Donald Trump has announced tech billionaire Elon Musk and former Republican presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy will lead the Department of Government Efficiency.
“We now have an annual budget of $7 trillion and $2 trillion of that is debt,” Mr Whiton told Sky News host James Morrow.
“These two might be different and the fact that they have their president behind them, it’s not just some blue-ribbon commission, might make the difference this time.”
