The trial of Marieha Hussain, a 37-year-old British Asian mother, has ignited controversy, with protesters gathering outside Westminster Magistrates' Court as she faces charges of a racially aggravated hate crime.
Hussain was charged with a racially aggravated public order offence after holding up a satirical placard at a pro-Palestine protest last November, depicting Rishi Sunak and Suella Braverman as "coconuts".
