Was the hardtail the best choice for this Lakes ride? Probably not! Did I have a great day, yes... well apart from my meltdown.
@Stopadoodledoo @HallMarc_Trails @TrailFinder plus myself, take a trip to The Lakes, first time we had been back for a good long while. We take in Linmoor Fell, Clappersgate, Ambleside for lunch, and past my old home in Rydal, in fact you get to see two houses I grew up in. Many nights spent drunkenly walking back home after a night in Sporty's!
This ride really tested me, and in fairness broke me, no idea why I exhausted so quickly? Think the heat really took it out of me, reaching 27c when at the top of Rydal Water. Anyway, what a great day this was!
