SAP PP: The most important SAP Transactions in Production Planning (SAP PP)
This video provides an overview of the most important transactions in SAP Production Planning (SAP PP).
The SAP Production Planning (SAP PP) module is used to map all production processes within a company in SAP ERP or SAP S/4HANA. It allows the sometimes very different production processes of different companies to be combined and mapped in one SAP module. To do this, the existing production processes are analysed and divided into different categories such as mass production, type production, series production and make-to-order production.
The aim of production planning is to find the most suitable type of production for each process. The choice of the most appropriate type has a decisive influence on process execution and logistics. In practice, several production types are often used in parallel to represent a company's production.
In the area menu PP01 you will find the most important transactions in Production Planning (SAP PP). PP01 is the SAP transaction for maintaining planning data. Therefore, you can access the area menu PP01 by entering it in the user data on the tab page Fixed values in the field "Start menu". You can call up the user defaults by entering the transaction code SU3 in the command field and confirming with the Enter key, or by calling up the menu function "System - User defaults - User data". The most important user data is then clearly displayed and grouped in a tree structure.
