Scotland's Wild Places 2022
Scotland's wild places is a short film of some of the spectacular places I've visited and had adventures in the last 12 months, packed full of drone footage of Scotland, nature and lanscapes across all four seasons. From the mountains of the Cairngorms National Park, to the fresh water lochs of Loch Lomonod and Trossachs National Park to the remote Scottish islands off the north west coast!
About a year ago I decided I wanted to get into film making in my spare time, partly to document my adventures and partly to learn a new skill which I can then use to communicate the scientific research I'm doing on global forest ecosystems. As this is the first year I've been doing this, I started virtually from scratch and so the learning curve on how to capture beautiful shots, colour correction, colour grading and editing in Final Cut Pro 10 (FCPX) has been steep!
