I made a mistake and bought the Sierra Designs Nitro 20 backpacking quilt. I don’t like bashing on backpacking gear, but this quilt is so expensive, doesn’t keep you warm, lacks standard features, and somehow still has excellent ratings. Consider this a backpacking quilt public service announcement. But it’s not enough to just tell you not to buy this quilt. I’ll give a more affordable and warmer quilt option that I have been using for years and LOVE.
