In this tutorial, I show you how to permanently remove the default gray cell borders in Excel for all new Excel workbooks and worksheets. Make sure this folder exists on your computer: C:\Users\Your Username\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Excel\XLSTART
Excel has added a new feature, where you can go to View and uncheck 'Gridlines'. You can try this method as well. However, this method does not work for other users opening the file on other computers.
