MUSIC VISUALIZER - NO PLUGINS - 60 Seconds After Effects Tutorial
60 Seconds is all you need to have anything in After Effects reacting to audio. If you are making music visualizers, this will get you started. If you're new to writing expressions, just follow along and you'll have it running in no time!

easeIn(linear(thisComp.layer("Audio Amplitude").effect("Both Channels")("Slider"),0,50,0,1), 40,100)

Why use 0,50?
Because the Audio Amplitude Slider values are between 0 and 50.
We're converting that to a normalized value of 0 and 1.
From there we are mapping 0 to 40 and 1 to 100.
Meaning if we have an input value of 0.5 we would get an output of 70.
