Shrapnel test, Carl Gustaf 84mm HE round. M/86, M3 MAAWS
To count and measure the shrapnel an explosive ordnance produces, the HE round is detonated in a larger pool of water in order to collect all the shrapnel. This is a collection of shrapnel from a test of a 8,4 cm HE round from a Carl Gustaf recoilless rifle at FFV, a large Swedish weapon and ordnance manufacturer 1943-1991.
This shrapnel exhibition is located at Sprängtekniska museet in Zakrisdal, Karlstad.
M3 MAAWS in the US and M/86, M/18 in Sweden, used by many countries around the world.
