Brush size & hardness shortcut for digital painters in Photoshop CS6
How to adjust the brush size and hardness / softness in Photoshop very quickly and on the go. This is a MASSIVE TIME SAVER for digital artists as you will find yourself constantly changing your brush size no matter what you are working on.
I have my keys mapped onto my drawing tablet as mentioned in the video ( Wacom Cintiq 13HD and pen) which makes it incredible fast and efficient to use. I do this without thinking now.
NOTE: IT HAS BEEN POINTED OUT THAT IF YOU ARE USING A MAC YOU WILL NEED TO HOLD 'CTR' & 'OPTION' KEYS AND DRAG WITH THE LEFT MOUSE BUTTON
I mentioned in the video about being able to see the figures on screen whilst you are adjusting the size or your brush or the hardness of your brush. This is a figure from 0 - 100% however I did not realise it doesn't show up on the recording for some reason, so try it out for yourself too.
In case you didn't want to watch the entire video, the shortcuts you will need to cycle the brush change quickly are 'alt' on your keyboard and right click on your mouse or pen, when you have done this, drag it in a direction to get the desires size and hardness. Let me know in the comments if you have any questions. I am using Photoshop CS6 but I would think this will work in some other versions too.
