You're Using this Gun WRONG in Destiny 2 Lightfall #shorts. The Quicksilver Storm exotic auto rifle is quickly becoming one of my favorite weapons in the game and I'm sure for many others as well. However, most people are using it wrong. More specifically, there’s some tricks to make it even better.
If you don’t know, it’s a 720 rpm auto rifle that was released a few seasons ago with the Lightfall pre order. It was already a great weapon for many reasons. Including its exotic tier stats that makes a 720 auto very controllable, the micro missile perk that deals a lot of extra damage, and the grenade launcher for a very easy source of medium damage output for sustained damage. And this season it got a catalyst that made it strand damage and create tangles from the grenade launcher kills, which works very well with strand synergies.
However, there are 2 things that can make this gun much better.
Firstly, the grenade launcher can be fired and reloaded a lot faster by animation canceling the reload. You do this by spamming the reload button after firing, which cuts down the animation considerably and fires faster. This is also possible with most other special grenade launchers and rockets.
Secondly, it’s annoying when you run out of ammo in your clip and want to switch to the grenade launcher shot, but even when you hold the reload button to switch it, it reloads the regular clip first, and then you have to reload again for the GL shot. However, you can circumvent this by quickly sprinting and then holding the reload button. This will load the GL shot first and save time.
