Concord, a PlayStation 5 exclusive with a development cost reportedly between $50 million and $150 million, has flopped in the most spectacular way. The game’s failure to attract a large audience highlights a critical issue—gamers aren’t interested in titles that prioritize woke agendas over quality gameplay. Despite the eight years spent in development, the game’s focus on political correctness rather than engaging content led to its downfall. Concord's peak of 697 players is a dismal comparison to Black Myth: Wukong's 3 million concurrent players and 10 million units sold. Black Myth succeeded because it avoided these pitfalls, instead catering to what gamers genuinely want. Meanwhile, Concord’s focus on inclusion and character pronouns alienated a significant portion of its potential player base. The game’s poor performance is a clear sign that modern audiences are rejecting woke games in favor of those that prioritize player enjoyment.
