In this tutorial I'll show you how to create the super cool Edgar Wright-like transition used in Corridor's short film "Anime Fidget Spinners". This is another dynamic transition you can add to your visual effects arsenal. When creating stylized films & short films it's always great to venture away from the normal cross fade transition and try out some custom made one's like this.

• For this tutorial, I use After Effects CC 2017. No plugins are required.
KEYS TO SUCCESS:
• Use a track matte to create the shape you want your transition to look like.
• Apply the CC Particle World effect to create the flying particles.
• Add glows & drop shadows to your stroke to give it some depth.
