Logged-In User vs. Current User | A No Code Builder Tutorial
In this video, we’re discussing the difference between data associated with the “Logged-In” User and what the data “Current User” means in our no-code app.
Magic text is the way we connect the backend of our app (the database/collections) and the front end of our app (screens and components). The best thing about apps is that they can dynamically show information based on who is logged into the app. For example, Instagram looks different for me when I log in using my credentials, as opposed to when you log in!
Similarly, how you’ll use Magic Text to dynamically represent the ‘Logged-In User’ data vs. interacting with the Users in a list (or a ‘Current User’) will help you understand more about Magic Text.
This video showcases a quick example of utilizing Logged-In User data to show you how the app changes based on who is logged in and how to showcase ‘Current User’ — because let’s face it, Current User sounds like the user who is currently using the app… but it’s not.
