In 2015, a retired Navy flight engineer nicknamed "Brian" opened up about his horrible experiences in the icy wilderness, recounting them to journalist Linda Moulton Howe. On one particular mission, Brian and his team spotted several bright, silver objects darting across the sky in patterns that defied normal explanation, a sight they witnessed multiple times. McMurdo Station is a major research center located on Ross Island in Antarctica. It was established by the United States government in 1956 and can host up to 1,200 people during its busiest periods. This place serves as a hub for scientists and researchers working on a variety of projects in one of the coldest areas on Earth.
Brian had spent a significant part of his career, from 1983 to 1997, as part of the Antarctic Development Squadron. His main duties involved flying missions that helped with rescue operations and other tasks necessary for the safe and efficient running of activities in such a remote location. Throughout his career, Brian's missions were mostly routine. However, during one mission in the Transantarctic Mountains, something out of the ordinary occurred that left a lasting impression on him and his crew. These round objects would gather together, zip quickly to different mountain peaks, and then shoot up into the sky.
