Consumer Protection and Empowerment (CPE) 3-2, Clinical Oversight of Program, is part of URAC's latest revision to the Specialty Pharmacy & Mail Service Pharmacy standards.
IHS CEO Dr. Tom Goddard speaks of how this standard requires that the oversight of the clinical decision making of your organization must be conducted by at least one senior clinician.
Dr. Gooddard explains that the clinician is required to be licensed to practice a healthcare profession and they really have to had the essential qualifications to oversee the particular set of services your organization provides.
