If you want to enable the inbuilt QR code scanner in your iPhone that works with camera what you do is go to settings. Scroll down and you have to go to this option camera. Now here there is an option scan QR codes. This is ON by default and if this is ON, the camera of your iPhone can scan and read QR codes. In case if this option is disabled you need to enable it.
