Hello people!
In this episode I will be going over some UI changes and some other features that I've added. The UI changes are mainly about the book that Tuck is writing, which will contain all different kinds of information.
'Your game looks like this game, your game looks like that game!!'. Yes, I am aware that top-down games exist and that some of them have a forest area. No, my game is not a 'copy' of these other games. If you do want to mention it looks similar to other games, please do it in a positive way since comments like these often come over as people accusing me of copying. The entire idea for my game came from me experimenting with random world generation, which was something on my 'things-I-want-to-learn' list since I first started with game development in 2016.
I've also switched up the start for this video, as I am still figuring out this whole video-making stuff. I've learned that it's important to instantly grab the viewers attention, which is hard to do if every video just starts off with 'Hey, my name is… and I'm working on this game'.
Adventure of Tuck is a roguelite game in which you play as Tuck. Tuck wants to become a writer but in order to get inspiration, he went out to the forest to clear his mind. This is where his adventure begins.
My name is Ken and I am from the Netherlands! One of my many hobbies is game development, which I started with in 2016-2017. This project, Adventure of Tuck, is a project I started with in 2019. Adventure of Tuck is made in Unity.
