Compression - What is it? How do I use it in Reaper to make my voice sound like a radio voice?
Compression is used in audio to reduce the loudest peaks of the signal audio which then allows for the volume to be boosted by a greater amount. Compression can allow for a higher average volume (RMS).
Task: Record several statements about compression. Apply compression and explore different settings for ratio and threshold.
