Pictured are preparations for the theatrical performance "My specialty -- a life" about the life and works of Marina Tsvetaeva, being made by the creative association "Prometheus". The association was established in the Energetik Palace of Culture of Pripyat by joining forces of the Prometheus literary studio and the Edison-2 disco in 1984.
The premiere of the performance first took place in winter 1985, just months before the Chernobyl accident...
Romances you can hear in the video have been created by an engineer of the Chernobyl NPP Vasyl Rozumny (who wrote the guitar music). The poems were written by Galina Bukalova, originally for the performance of Vladimir Arro's "Five romances in the old house". This was the institute's diploma work of the leader of the propaganda team of the Palace of Culture "Energetik" Lidia Rybkina (she also sings there along with Vasyl Rozumny)...
