Hey everyone! In today's video we are going to show you how to edit PDF on mobile with PDF Candy! For sure you’ve opened and read PDFs on your iPhone or Android. But do you know how to bring some changes to them? With us all being on the go so much it’s fair to say that that's a highly demanded feature for those who deal with PDF documents on a regular basis. So let's check out how to use PDF Candy's online PDF editor on a mobile device.
00:36 Step1: Open "Edit PDF" tool of PDF Candy
So the first thing you’re going to do is go to PDFCandy.com on your iPhone or Android. You can see that there are a LOT of options. What you’re going to do here is scroll down until you see the “Edit PDF” tool. That has a yellow sticky pad looking piece of paper with a black pen icon. Just tap on it to proceed.
01:01 Step 2: Add file
You will see the interface of the “Edit PDF” tool that says “Add File”. Once you tap that, and upload the PDF you want you’ll notice a few things right away.
At the top of the screen you have several icons. From left to right you see the standard arrow cursor icon, a text editor icon, a pen icon, a square icon for making boxes to highlight things in the PDF, you have an arrow icon which can be used to highlight certain points. You have an icon that will allow you to upload an image into the PDF and finally an icon to add a signature.
At the bottom, underneath your PDF there's the page count, arrows that allow you to scroll in either direction of the page count and finally the “Export file” button.
As with all mobile devices you can increase or decrease the size of the PDFs using the pinch and expand motions with your thumbs.
02:04 Step 3: Edit a PDF
To edit the text on the PDF just click the T icon. You can add text and customize it. When adding text you can select its size and colour, and if it's bold or italic. This tool is a great option for highlighting parts of PDFs or making notes such as editing suggestions. To save what you have done, just click on the arrow pointing to the left.

If you want to scrap something already added, just click the trash bin icon that has an X on it. As well you can go back to the menu with the tools to edit PDF by clicking the left pointing arrow.
02:44 Tip: Edit PDF: Add freehand, square or arrow
To scribble your own notes or doodles onto the PDF you can use the pen tool. Select color and stroke size for your freehand drawing. Once you’ve made your selection you are free to doodle away! If you are happy with your addition you just need to click the arrow pointing to the left to save your work and go back to the online PDF editor menu.
If you want to highlight a chunk of your PDF you can tap the square button, this will allow you to draw a square on your document. Use the options at the top to select the fill in color and its opacity level, and the outline colour along with its stroke size. Lightly press on your phone's screen and drag the square into any square or rectangle size and directions. When everything is in order, just take your finger off the screen and you’re set! This tool can be used to either highlight or block out sections of the PDF.
Using the arrow tool follows a similar path. Select if you want your arrow bold or not, and pick the color. Red is the default. When you are ready to place your arrow, just select a starting point by tapping on the screen and then dragging the arrow to point in any direction you want, in any length on the screen you want. Take your finger off the screen and your arrow's on a page of PDF.
04:01 Tip: Move or resize added text or objects
It is possible to move and resize added objects in our free PDF editor as well. Make sure the Select tool is picked and the arrow is highlighted green. Tap on any objects to select it. You’ll see four circles, one in each corner of the object. Use them for resizing or use the drag and drop mechanism for moving the objects. As easy as it sounds!
04:26 Tip: Edit PDF: Add image or signature
If you want to add a photo or logo to your PDF, simply tap the image icon on the menu. Tap the button that says “Add file” to add a photo from your camera or gallery. Once you’ve selected the image it will appear on the PDF.
The last but not least option is the feature to add a signature. Tap the “New signature” button and draw right on your screen. “Save” button will apply what's drawn to your document right away.
Now that you’re done with your edits, it's time to move onto exporting your file!

Tap the “Export File” button to save your work and edit PDF file! Within seconds your updated document can be downloaded.
