"Homefront," directed by Gary Fleder and released in 2013, is an action-thriller film starring Jason Statham, James Franco, and Winona Ryder. The story follows former DEA agent Phil Broker (Jason Statham), who moves to a quiet rural town with his daughter Maddy (Izabela Vidovic) after a mission goes wrong. Seeking a peaceful life, Phil's plans are disrupted when Maddy gets into a schoolyard fight with a local bully, drawing the attention of the bully's mother, Cassie Bodine (Kate Bosworth).
Cassie’s brother, Gator Bodine (James Franco), is a local methamphetamine dealer who discovers Phil’s true identity and decides to use it to his advantage. Gator, along with his partner Sheryl (Winona Ryder), begins to terrorize Phil and his daughter, forcing Phil to revert to his lethal skills to protect his family. The film escalates into a series of intense confrontations, blending explosive action with a gripping storyline.
