"Star Wars: Episode II – Attack of the Clones," directed by George Lucas and released in 2002, is the second installment in the Star Wars prequel trilogy. The film stars Hayden Christensen as Anakin Skywalker, Natalie Portman as Padmé Amidala, and Ewan McGregor as Obi-Wan Kenobi. Set ten years after "The Phantom Menace," the Galactic Republic is facing increasing threats from the Separatist movement led by Count Dooku (Christopher Lee).
The story follows Anakin Skywalker and Padmé Amidala as they develop a forbidden romance while Obi-Wan Kenobi investigates the assassination attempts on Padmé. Obi-Wan discovers a secret clone army being created on the planet Kamino, leading to a confrontation with bounty hunter Jango Fett (Temuera Morrison) and the uncovering of a Sith conspiracy. As tensions rise, Anakin struggles with his emotions and the growing influence of Chancellor Palpatine (Ian McDiarmid).
The film features iconic scenes like the Battle of Geonosis, where Jedi and clone troopers face off against the droid army, and the thrilling lightsaber duel between Yoda and Count Dooku. With stunning visual effects, epic space battles, and a deepening exploration of Anakin’s descent toward the dark side, "Attack of the Clones" expands the Star Wars saga with rich lore and dramatic twists.
