In today's video you'll be learning how to create a Split Lighting setup, also known as Hatchet Lighting.
Split lighting or hatchet lighting is a highly dramatic cinematic lighting technique that can add a sense of foreboding, mystery and drama to your character. It is perfect for lighting characters that are untrustworthy, suspicious and "two-faced".
Split lighting is a simple lighting technique that can be achieved with a single light source.
However, I also share with you a few variations to the technique that you can add to your lighting toolkit.
