This video is five of 12 that demonstrates the EZValidation Online Tool for validation and verification of molecular tests. It can also be used as training for those unfamiliar with EZValidation and AcroMetrix products by Life Technologies. This video shows you how to view and print plate maps from your study.
Now that you've completed the first four easy steps, logged in, opened your study, set the acceptance criteria, added personnel, and documented materials, you can view and print your plate maps. There are a number of different ways to view and print your plate maps. First, I will start with the runs in this study, where you can view your layout.
The EZValidation™ Online tool automatically creates layouts based on the experiments that you're running and the type of amplification detection system and plate sizes that you're using for your runs. As an example, I'm going to click on view layout for day two, run one. I click on view layout. And now it's showing me all the plates in run one on day two that EZValidation on line tool has automatically calculated.
So for this—and this is a 24 K-carrier in the TaqMan® Assay-based tests—it has filled in all of my controls for each one of the K- carriers, so that I can print from print screen here to get this printed out. Or I can return to study. And once I return to study, I can click on view validation protocol. And from view validation protocol, I can also print out all my information.
Here in the validation protocol, it's showing me all the information for my study as well as the plate maps for every day and for every run. So here's day one. We're running one, two, three different plates, four different plates, five different plates, six different plates on day one. And then day two, likewise, it's showing me not just the runs that I need to do, but also the dilutions that I would need to make for my controls and panel members.
And additionally, if it doesn't work out so well for me to print from my screen, I can click on "get in PDF." And then I can actually save my PDF or print from my PDF. And it's giving me the option here to either open or save my file. So right now I'll choose to open. And now it's showing me my study, and the PDF file is an easy file to save and print. And this is what you'll want to save for your documentation purposes. You'll want to save your validation protocol and also your validation report. So I'm just scrolling down to show all the plates' configurations for my studies. Now to get out, I can just click on that. And then click on return to study. And now I'm back in my study homepage.
