How can a wireless baby monitor claim it has Low EMF???
That's what I was wondering too, so I knew we had to test this one. I've been telling you for years that traditional wireless baby monitors have EMF's THAT ARE WAY TOO HIGH to be so close to your precious baby!
But the LeReve doesn't use WiFi. But it is wireless. It uses the 2.4Ghz waveband, which is the SAME wireless radio frequency band that many wireless things use. WiFi, Cordless phones, BlueTooth signals, car sensors, wireless microphones, video devices and microwave ovens are use this signal, but I do like that at least you don't ALSO have to connect this baby monitor to the WiFi and you don't have to use an App!
So the big difference with LeReve is that it's only on when it NEEDS to be on--When baby cries or moves. They call it low power mode or power save mode and it does in fact REDUCE the EMF when it's not detecting sound.
Does that reduce EMF enough to make it a safe choice? That answer depends on how EMF Free you want to be-but we do have recommendations that make using this monitor safer for your baby and your family.
