As you get older, your diet should become more focused on eating healthy foods that will give you the nutrients you need to stay strong and healthy. Beets are a good source of fiber and folic acids, which have been shown to lower blood pressure.

Seafood is an excellent source of protein and omega 3 fatty acids. They, too, contain vitamins and minerals. They contain vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants. Omega-3s have been linked to a lower risk of heart disease, Alzheimer's disease, and dementia. Aim to eat two servings of seafood per week.
