Thank you for joining me and in this video we are going to discuss dealing with shifts with your in-laws and your immediate family after a divorce. As I have mentioned in my other video regarding friendships after divorce, we don't set out and intend to get married and get divorced... no one does that unless you are hollywood and you've been married five times and you just don't care but the average person gets married with the intention of staying married.
You have your wedding and your celebration, those family toasts, the coming together and it's a big momentous event with pictures and memories and all of that beautiful stuff, so of course when that marriage doesn't work out, we go through shame, we go through loneliness, we go through scrutiny.
We go through judgments and we hope that our immediate family would be our ultimate support system during this time, but they are also going through their own grieving process or their own judgments and they are human just like us so they may not always be on their best behavior.
