Google's new AI tool generates audio matching any videos!
Google DeepMind's V2A (Video-to-Audio) technology is considered the missing piece for AI film production, when it can create sound that matches the video.
AI's video creation capabilities are being highly appreciated. Tools such as OpenAI's Sora, Luma AI's Dream Machine, Runway's Gen-3 Alpha or recently Google's Veo have received great attention for being able to create lifelike videos. However, one of their weaknesses is the lack of accompanying sound.
According to TechRadar, Google's V2A overcomes the above drawback and is a big step forward, compensating for the gap in creating automatic movie scenes, supporting professional filmmakers and amateur users in combining many AI tools. to produce a video to your liking.
To do this, V2A technology combines pixel-by-pixel analysis of video and text prompts to create background music based on the content being shown. In a series of videos shared by Google DeepMind, the company uses V2A technology to combine existing AI video generators to produce videos that 'match the characters and tone of the video'.
'The V2A engine can create an unlimited number of tracks for any video input, for any scene,' Google wrote in a June 19 blog post.
Google said the company is aware of the risk of abusing this tool for improper purposes. Therefore, they consider this a research project and have no release plans yet. 'Before considering opening access to the general public, V2A technology will undergo rigorous safety evaluation and testing,' a Google representative said.
