Saudi Arabia began the construction of the city of the future Neom in the north-west of the kingdom, which is almost completely devoid of roads.
The length of the megalopolis from the local mountains to the Red Sea will be 170 km.
Along its length will be placed islands of residential areas, which will be connected by an underground transportation system that allows you to cross the entire city in just 20 minutes.
The project, estimated at $500 billion, is already at the foundation stage.
