Meal outreach program hosted at State College church

STATE COLLEGE, Pa. -- One Centre County church is working to make sure everyone has a hot meal at least once a month; The Park Forest Village United Methodist Church opens its doors once a month to host an event called Simply, Soup.
Organizers said this community outreach program provides a secure and welcoming place for everyone to enjoy a meal.
"We welcome members of the community who are experiencing any type of food insecurity, meaning that maybe they spent all of their money on household bills and once all the bills are paid they realize, 'Hey I don't have any money left I've got to buy groceries,' or they don't know where their next healthy meal is going to come from or when," said Cori Donaghy, Simply Soup organizer.
Simply, Soup meets the last Wednesday of every month and everyone is welcome to attend.
