EARLY ON IN STARGATE ATLANTIS's run the show experimented a bit with its characters, including having the Athosians (a new ally and Pegasus Galaxy natives) live in the city of Atlantis in the wake of a Wraith culling. After just a few episodes, though, the Athosians were relocated to the mainland and ended up playing a more tangential role.

One of the Athosian actors was a young Reece Thompson, who played Halling's son Jinto. (He's the kid who famously got lost in the city in the episode "Hide and Seek.) In this conversation with "Dial the Gate" Reece looks back on filming the series as a child actor. He shares his memories of Joe Flanigan on the set, how he thinks the Athosians were received by fans, and the spin-off series' efforts to find the right balance of cast and story.

This clip is from Dial the Gate's full-length, 40-minute conversation with Reece. Watch the full interview here:    • 225: Reece Thompson, "Jinto" in Starg...
