Metro Express Quatre Bornes to Curepipe Central (it's finished! 😌)

My favorite thing during my year in Mauritius was the incremental opening of the Metro Express. We always based ourselves in lovely Quatre Bornes and could enjoy the opening of new lines every now and then. Usually, we stayed in Trou-aux-Biches, but if we craved city life, Quatre Bornes was perfect for us.
Anyway, this light rail transit system (not train, not tram) was perfect for day trips to other parts of the busiest part of the island. I love new public transit infastructure. I hope the existence of the tram will make some people sell their cars and alleviate road vehicle traffic a bit more because it was getting a bit nutty in Mauritius. Remember, everyone who takes the tram/bus is not driving a car and contributing to clogged traffic.
