Trigger Auto Download for Image on Wix while hiding wixstatic.com
Code Queen is back with a video explaining how to create a download button for an image from a gallery connected to a Wix Code database. This video will show how to trigger auto download so that it hides WixStatic.com URL on your Wix website.
If you try searching for a download button inside of the Wix Editor you will only find one for downloading documents. The Code Queen has created a code that retrieves the URL where the image is being hosted on the Wix database and then triggers a pop up window on your browser to save your image.
In this tutorial site there is NO RIGHT CLICK capability since the Code Queen installed the Right Click Protect app from the Wix app market.
She also added text in front of the image to discourage visitors from taking a screenshot of the image as well. The only way to download the image is by clicking the download button from the gallery to redirect to the dynamic page where the code triggers the pop up window to save the image.
