How to achieve profit from Mustard (Saag) || Crop Reformer
Toria or mustard (Brassica campestris) is an important oilseed crop of Punjab but it may also be grown as very early saag/vegetable crop. In this video, we have guided the farmers to grow Toria in the healthy loam soil during the month of August as vegetable crop. It has been directed that after incorporating 1-1.5 bags of DAP fertilizer, 4-5 kg seed may be scattered uniformly on the tops of 2.5 feet apart 85 ridges per acre. It has further been guided that 1st Irrigation may be applied after sowing and for partial weed control Dual gold 960 EC-Syngenta (S metolachlor) may be sprayed@ 400 ml/acre 24 hours after sowing. It should also be served with urea fertilizer with proper intervals. Crop may be ready for harvesting within a period of 30-35 days after sowing. The entire crop may be harvested within a period of 50-55 days after sowing. A net income of 50-80 thousand may in most cases be earned from this crop within a short period of time.
