How to Remove a Background in Paint.NET
To cut out a subject in a photo, you can either use the magic wand tool, or manually remove the background with the eraser tool. Sometimes you may have to do it manually, if there is a lot of clutter in the background.
This may not be the finest cut, but if you spend more time getting a closer cut, the end result will also look better.
You may want to outline your cut afterwards, to make it look more nice. If this is what you want, try spending more time on your cut, to get it as close as possible.
Removing the background of a photo is usually something you want to avoid entirely if possible. Instead you may want to consider using a green screen / chroma keying, as it gives a near perfect end result with very little effort / skill required. Have fun!
